Default Safe to Use Xfire in Guild Wars.

HI and I've been around a while, but I got xfire the other day and I'm wondering if it's Safe to use Xfire whilst on Gw's. I want to know if this program counts as Third Party or illegal application. Someone. Just got to check safety's. I would really official Confirmation from Arenanet staff on this matter.

Thanks.

Absolutely safe. By "third-party programs," Anet is referring to things like the downloadable hack programs you can get, which are likely to just steal your account info.

Hell, Windows is a third party program. Just don't download hacks--that's all Anet is talking about.

I'd back you up on that one, but:

1. I had XFire before then and actively used it anyway.
2. I honestly can't remember what I did Friday night, let alone what the hell happened over a year ago.

Anyway, it's completely safe. XFire I scanned the minute I got it with several different programs. Not ONE TRACE of adware or spyware. But basically, they mean things that affect your gameplay in Guild Wars. XFire doesn't modify the game in anyway.

Xfire is safe, It supports hundreds of games and they are still adding more games to its list. I seriously doubt they will ad adware to it, Its a very popular program amongst the FPS world.

You're mistaken. None of the GW games came with Xfire included. Xfire has always been a seperate download that recognizes Guild Wars.
